The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.
His background matters. It means the person running this has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For something that is a few months old, that range is not narrow.
What You Trade On
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from the same login. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you know MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.
FIX API is offered for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That should be a good addition when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
This is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform run 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.
Put together those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
The FSRA Question
Now, the thing that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. None of this make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal works depends on you.
